Listening Part 3 - Guided Test

Tips from the examiners

Note!

In this recording, it says ‘you will hear each of the short conversations once only’. In the updated LanguageCert exam you will hear each conversation twice.

Before you listen

  • Use the time you are given before you hear the recording to look carefully at the information you are asked to provide.

Remember!

  • Don’t forget that you have to give the required information in no more than five words.

  • You won’t have time to write more, and if you did, you would be penalised in the test.

Spelling

  • If you think you have found the correct information but aren’t sure how to spell a word, write your answer anyway.

  • If what you write can be clearly understood you will be given credit for it.
